Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country made the trip to Wilmington once again this season, and they continued their impressive season with a second place finish. 

Claire Walters led the way with one of her fastest 5K times to date. She placed fourth with a tome of 19:02.2. Jessica Campbell then shattered her personal best time by fifty seconds, as she placed ninth with a time of 19:02.2. This was on the same course that her previous personal best time was ran at last season. 

Lauren Dosch made it three Barons in the top 10, as she placed 10th with a time of 19:06.2. That would be a new collegiate best time for her as well at the 5K length. Emily Maag placed 23rd with a time of 19:38.3, and Francesca Rivers placed 31st, as a pair of freshmen were among the top five finishers for Franciscan.

Wittenberg claimed the team title with 65 points to beat Franciscan by just one point. This is the fourth meet out of six this season that the Barons placed among the top three teams.

Up Next
Franciscan will return to competition in two weeks. That will be the PAC Championship on November 2nd. This will be a return to the Lawrence County Fairgrounds where the Barons placed third out of nine teams in the PAC Preview. The Barons are in search of their seventh conference championship, and first since 2018.
