Short Story: Five Barons place in the Top 30, 13 in the Top 50, as Franciscan shows their depth in a fourth place finish at the PAC Championship.

Race Highlights
The conference coaches picked them to finish sixth in the preseason poll. Franciscan has won one meet this fall, placed second twice, and third once. The Barons continued their impressive season with a fourth place finish at the 2024 PAC Championship.

Claire Walters led the way with a sixth place finish. Her time of 22:47.0 is her best of the season in 6K races and more than two minutes faster than her time on this course in September. Lauren Dosch made it a pair of Barons in the Top 10 as she placed ninth. Her time of 23:18.7 is also a season-best time for the sophomore. 

Jessica Campbell placed 18th for the Barons with a time of 23:48.1.Emily Maag continued her impressive freshman season with a 22nd place finish. Het time of 23:59.2 beast her collegiate-best time by 30 seconds.  In fifth for the Barons would be Teresa Meli. Her time of 24:50.0 was a new collegiate-best time for the sophomore. 

That would give the Barons 84 points to place fourth. Allegheny repeated as PAC Champions with 45 points. Grove City placed second with 64 points, and Saint Vincent placed just above the Barons with 75 points.

Franciscan will compete next at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional in Shelbyville, Indiana on Saturday, November 16th. The Top 35 runners will earn All-Region Honors, while teams and individuals can qualify for a spot in the NCAA National Championship.
