The Latest
- The Barons suffered their first setback of the season on Wednesday night in the PAC opener against Washington & Jefferson by a score of 68-54.

- The Barons trailed by four at the half, but the Presidents were able to pull away in the second half. Josh Zimmerman led all scorers with 18 points and the lone made three-pointer for the Barons.

Scouting the Wolverines 
- The Wolverines enter this game with a 3-2 mark, including a 1-0 record in PAC play. On Wednesday night they beat Waynesburg 64-56, and the game Saturday will be their fourth straight game at home.

- They have four players that are averaging double-digit points per game. Chase Yarberough leads the wat at 16.8 ppg. Jonah Bock is averaging 4+ made three pointers a game while primarily coming off the bench.

-  The Barons are 5-13 all-time against the Wolverines, as they split their games last season. The home team won both games, as Franciscan won 78-77 in Finnegan Fieldhouse. Nicholas Allienello drilled a three pointer with 18 seconds to play that held on as the game-winning bucket. He scored 20 points on 5-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

In the season opening four game winning streak, the Barons averaged over seven made three point field goals per game, and they shot it at nearly 40%. In their lone lose, they made just one three point field goal in nine attempts. 

- The Barons has continued to excel at defending the three point shot this season. Their opponents are shooting 23.1% from beyond the arc, the best opponent three-point field goal percentage in the PAC. 

Starting Five
- For Franciscan, Josh Zimmerman, Travis Zimmerman, Sawyer Butler, Frank Bellissimo, and Karl Yonkeu have been a winning formula. Coach Joe Wallace has used the same starting five in each game this season. 

- These five account for 81% of the total offense for the Barons so far this season.

- Josh Zimmerman enters this game with 1,209 points to have the seventh most all-time. Don Rogich '79 sits in sixth with 1,394 points. Sean Hickey '21 holds the Franciscan Division III record with 1,692 points, and Paul Brownlee '56 sits atop the all-time rankings with 2,433 points.

-With five assists against Washington & Jefferson, Zimmerman tied the program record. With his next assists, he will pass Jacob Divens '18 (277) to become the program leader. That will be his second major program record, as he is the program's all-time leader in steals with 201 so far.

- He sits 13th all-time in rebounding with 613 boards. Fr. Tim Hirten '75 is one spot above him with 627 boards over his four years in Steubenville. Matt Trent '20 holds the Franciscan Division III record with 781 rebounds, and "Big" Jim Smith '58 sits atop the rankings and all levels of collegiate basketball with 2,334 rebounds.
