DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2024 Division III Women's Soccer All-ECAC Teams and major awards on Tuesday afternoon

Franciscan had one player honored, and she took home a major award.
Eva Dexter (Fr. Troy, Ohio / Lehman Catholic) was named ECAC Rookie of the Year, as she is the first Baron to earn this honor. She was also named Second Team All-ECAC. Ashley Ruttencutter was the last Baron to be honored by the ECAC, which was back in 2012. Dexter adds this honor to already being named First Team All-PAC and PAC Newcomer of the Year last month.
Five other PAC players were honored by the ECAC today. Emma Miller of Allegheny and Lydia Ohm of Westminster were named First Team All-ECAC. Brooke Horvath of Westminster, Katherine Surdykowski of Allegheny, and Waverly Lorne of Waynesburg all joined Dexter on the Second Team
Trinity Prestash of Penn State Behrend was named ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, who the Barons held scoreless in their matchup this season. Alexandria Getfield of Farmingdale State was named ECAC Defesnive Player of the Year, and Hartford's John Natale was named ECAC Coach of the Year.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC also hosts a comprehensive esports program that presently involves 160 schools fielding 1100 teams across 14 different esports games, streamed live four nights a week. The ECAC's esports platform has and continues to expand the geographic footprint of the Conference nationally.
