Box Score Franciscan Men's and Women's Tennis made the trip to Wooster on Sunday to take on NCAA Division II, Ashland in a set of dual matches. The Eagles would take down the Barons 7-0 on both sides with Division II scoring used.Â
Men's Highlights
   At #1 doubles,
Christopher Yvars andÂ
Aaron Heinlein, the freshmen duo, paired up and battled to a 6-2 score.
Travis Mistry and
Aidan Palladino fell to the same score at #2 doubles. Then,
Callahan Hecton and
David Bourdelais battled the best at #3 doubles, by falling 6-3. Heinlein had the closest singles match, as he dropped 6-2, 6-4.
Women's Highlights
  Maria Herrera and
Kina Ehlers paired together at #1 doubles, as Ehlers made her season debut. They battled hard but fell 6-3.
Jordan Beltavski and
Delaney Dawson fell 6-1 at #2 doubles, while
Maggie Gallagher and
Hazel Mistry fell 6-0.
Lauren Schoenberger would just play singles, as she dropped #6 singels 6-3, 6-0. Herrera would play a close match at #1 singles but fall 6-3, 6-4.Â
Next Up
  Franciscan will return to action in Orlando on their annual spring break trip over the second week of March. They have five matches scheduled with two on Monday March 11th. They will square off against Western Connecticut State and Wisconsin La-Crosse to jump start the trip. This will be the first time that they have played either of these schools in program history.
