With runners at the corners, Ferroni would drive in Franzonello and move the runner over on a sac bunt. Bodie would then drive in the tying run on a sacrifice fly to center field.
That score of 6-6 would hold until the Scots scored a pair of two-out runs in the top of the seventh to take an 8-6 lead. The Barons would get a pair of hits in the bottom of the seventh, but they would not get any across home plate to end game one.

How It Happened
The Barons would be the away team for game two, and they would produce some early offense in the top of the first. After a pair of strikeouts, the Barons would load up the bases, and
Dylan Robb would deliver a two-RBI single. The Barons would not be done, as
Anthony Franzonello went opposite field to drive in another and take an early 3-0 lead.
The Scots would get their first run in the bottom of the first, but the Barons would get one back in the third. Franzonello would drive in Tyler on a ground out to second to give the Barons a 4-1 lead. Monmouth would get to Heidemann, as they would score four more runs off him, only two of which were earned, to take the lead at 5-4.
In the top of the fifth, it would be two-out magic once again. With the bases loaded, Urbanczyk would drive in Falconite on an infield single. Then Ferroni would get one through the left side to score a pair and give the Barons a 7-5 edge.
The Barons would extend the lead to three runs in the sixth when
Samuel Tyler drove in Sebastian Jaurez on a sacrifice fly. The Scots would respond with one run of their own in the home half of the inning to give Franciscan a two-run lead heading into the seventh.
The Barons would add some insurance in the final frame. Falconite and Stoehr would each fins gaps in the left side to drive in one run a piece to take a 10-6 lead. Coach
Rick Carver would stick with
Wade Stoehr for the seventh, as he had already pitched one and a third innings. He got two quick outs but then made it interesting. A double would drive in one run, but then the Barons would show some fine defense as the relay throw would get the second runner out at the plate to end this one and give Franciscan their first win of the young season.
