Franciscan Baseball Earns Second Win of Florida Trip in Extras

How It Happened
The Barons would pick up their second win of the season with a 12-8 win over Western Connecticut State on Thursday evening. It would take 11 innings, as the Barons would grind their way to victory. 

The Barons would take the lead early, as Wade Stoehr would help himself with an RBI double in the first, and then be driven in by Samuel Tyler to give him a 2-0 lead. Stoehr would then give up the lead from the rubber, by allowing two runs in the bottom of the first. 

Devon Ashcraft would then give the Barons the lead back with an RBI single in the second. The back and forth game would continue, as the Wolves plated one run in the third to tie it up at 3-3. The Barons would then plate five runs over the next four innings to take an 8-3 lead into the ninth.

With Stoehr out of the game the final frame did not go as planned. The Wolves would plate five earned run to tie it up and force extra innings.

Samuel Tyler would drive in a  run and score one in the top of the 11th, as the Barons scored four runs. Tyler would remain on the bump to close out the game as well for the Barons and secure their second win of the trip.

At the Plate
- Eight Barons had two hits for a team total of 16 on the day. 
- Armstrong, Tyler, and Franzonello each had two RBIs.
- Stoehr had the lone extra-base hit with the double in the first

On the Mound  
- Stoehr pitched seven strong with six strikeouts and two earned runs.
- Shae Mummey allowed three earned in 1.1 innings of work.
- Samuel Tyler would earn the win while pitching the final 2.2 innings.
