How It Happened
The Barons would get behind early in game one against Marywood on their final day in Florida. They would score three runs in the first and four in the third to chase the Baron starter from this one slated for seven innings. The Barons would tack on one run in the fourth when Dylan Robb doubled in Wade Stoehr. Marywood would get one back in the home half to hold a lead of 8-1.

Franciscan would threaten in the fifth. Falconite and Stoehr each drove in one with bases loaded singles before Armstrong drove in a pair on a single to center. That would set the score at 8-5, but that would be as close as Franciscan would get to the lead. The opposition would add two more runs in the fifth and close out this game 10-5.

The Pacers would tack on three more in the fifth to take a commanding lead once more, but the Barons would not quit. They threatened in the seventh. Ashcraft would drive in Diego Perez on a sacrifice fly to left field, and Franzonello would score Urbanczyk on an RBI single. Marywood would be able to find the final out to sweep the doubleheader.
