How It Happened 
   The Ave Maria Gyrenes got off to a blazing start scoring 9 unanswered goals in the first quarter. Brooke Biagi and Theresa Lyle were the sole sources of offense on the day. Biagi scored another hat trick and Lyle added two more goals. At halftime the score was 2-16. The second half was a much closer contested game with the Barons being only outscored 3-6.

-Carolyn Cooke led the Barons in ground balls with 4
-Wilson and Hilkert each had two caused turnovers

Up Next
Franciscan will return to action in Steubenville next Tuesday when they host John Carroll. This will be the last non-conference test for the Barons in 2024. This will be the first time that the Barons and Blue Streaks will play each other in Women's Lacrosse. They are off to an up and down start to the 2024 season, as this will be their final non-conference matchup before they begin play in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
