How It Happened
The Barons would get on the board first in this battle against the Fighting Muskies. Franzonello and Peffer would each hit singles to jump-start the offense today. Dylan Robb would then rip a double to left center that would score both and give the Barons a 2-0 lead. Over the next two innings, Muskingum would plate three runs to take the lead back.

In the top of the third, the Barons would load the bases full. Wade Stoehr would help himself with a two-RBI double to left field. Ashcraft would add another run with a sacrifice fly that scored Robb to give Franciscan a 5-3 lead. The Fighting Muskies would tie it up in the home half of the third. They would then have a big fifth and seventh inning to take a commanding lead and close out this game with ten unanswered runs.

Up Next
The Barons will return home to take on Allegheny on Saturday afternoon in their first PAC doubleheader of the season. The Barons are 0-2 all-time against the Gators, as they battled in their first conference doubleheader last year. Both games were close with one being 3-1 and the other 6-0. Allegheny enters this matchup with a 7-5 record in non-conference matchups, and they will be well rested with their last game being on Sunday March 17th.
