Franciscan Men's Lacrosse Keeps Up Winning Ways in Cincinnati

How It Happened 
    Franciscan would improve to 4-2 on the season with a win at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon. 

    It would be another scoring frenzy in the opening half for the Barons. They scored 18 goals in the first thirty minutes, to tie their best production in a half this season. Samuel Marshall and Joseph James would each have eight points at the break. Marshall led the way with five goals, and James led the way with five assists. Eight different Barons would score a goal in the first half to give the Barons an 18-3 lead at the half.

    The Barons offense would tally 11 more goals in the second half to score 29 goals, the second most in a game in program history. Richard Vale II had six saves to earn the win, and he is now tied for the most wins by a goalie in Franciscan history. The Barons would win by a final score of 29-3.
    
Inside the Numbers 
- Jeofre Strandhagen set a pair of program records. 30 faceoff wins are the most in program history. He tied Jerome Harkins for the most ground balls in a game with 22.
- James led the way with 12 points, and Marshall ended with 11.
- Joseph James is currently in the top 10 in the nation for goals per game at 5.50.
- The Barons had a season-low two penalties.
- Masso saw his first action at goalie while saving three shots and allowing no goals.

Up Next 
Franciscan will take their longest road trip of the season, as they head to Brevard College on Thursday. This will be the first time that the Barons and Tornadoes will play each other in a men's lacrosse game. Brevard is off to a slow start this season, as this will be one of their last non-conference matchups of the season.
