How It Happened
The Barons would get the bats going at Penn State Beaver on a warm and sunny day, for once. Franciscan would score one run in the each od the first two innings, while starter
Andrew Heidemann put up a pair of zeros.
In the third, Robb would double in Tyler, who later scored on an error to give the Barons a 4-0 lead. The Lions would get their bats going in the fourth with three runs to give us a one run game. Franciscan would control the remaining innings with some big flies.
Wade Stoehr hit a solo shot to lead off the fifth inning. Peffer would then drive in Robb on a sacrifice fly before Ashcraft would score later in the innings to score three runs this inning. In the sixth, the Lions would score a pair of runs to make this a close game once again at 7-5, but the Barons would respond in the top of the seventh.
Samuel Tyler would rip a two-run home run to get the offense going in this inning. That would be his first collegiate home run. Armstrong would knock in Robb before the Barons would fill the bases.
Peter Falconite would deliver ina big way with his first collegiate home run, a grand slam. The bats were not done, as with two outs,
Dylan Robb hit a three-run shot to set the score at 17-5. That would be his first of the season and sixth of his career.
At the Plate
- Robb and Falconite each had 4 RBIs.
- Three batters had three hits - Falconite, Stoehr, Robb.
- Robb ended a triple short of the cycle.
- Stoehr tied the program record with four runs scored.
- Peffer swiped two bags.
On the Mound
- Heidemann picked up his second win of the season, as he went five innings with five strikeouts.

Sebastian Juarez pitched the final two innings while allowing just one hit and zero runs.
Up Next
The Barons will return to action at Westminster on Wednesday for a PAC doubleheader. The Barons are 3-8 all-time against the Titans, as they look to snap a two-game skid against them on Wednesday.
