How It Happened
For just a brief moment, the Barons had a deficit to the Yellow Jackets. Waynesburg's Lorne scored their second goal to go up 1-2, but one minute later Biagi struck back with a vengeance. She scored a tying goal then did what she does best and win the draw control. Cooke scored on that possession just 30 seconds later. That triggered a brash of scoring from the Barons. Hilker, Lyle, Cooke again, and Biagi again fired 1-2-3-4 more goals in just two minutes of game time. That sequence crushed any hopes from the Yellow Jackets.
The Barons allowed only two more goals the rest of the game while tallying up 23 of their own goals. this is their second conference win and pulls them up to a tie for sixth with Westminster. The Barons are at a disadvantage to the Titans to make the playoffs. The Barons do not hold the tiebreaker and play two teams above them in the standings, while the Titans play two teams in the bottom of the standings.
Inside the Numbers
-Hilkert had a game-high and season-high 6 goals
-Biagi scored season-high in goals (5) and points (6)
