Franciscan Men's Tennis Wins PAC Quarterfinal

#4 Franciscan 5, #5 Washington & Jefferson 0

Doubles
The Barons won all three doubles matches last week against the Presidents, and they would do the same today. The freshman duo of Christopher Yvars and Aaron Heinlein continued their success in doubles with an 8-2 win. Callahan Hecton and Samuel Sabol would win by the same score to give the Barons a 2-0 edge. Then #1 doubles would finish with Travis Mistry and Aidan Palladino taking the win by a score of 8-5.

Singles

Aaron Heinlein would have his 'A' game in singles, as he won in straight set 6-0, 6-0 at the #2 spot. Travis Mistry would send the Barons into the PAC Semifinal, as he earned the fifth points with a straight sets win at #1. Aidan Palladini and Callahan Hecton were very close to picking up their wins, as the match was called at 5-0.

Next Up
Franciscan will make the trip to Allegheny for the PAC Semifinal matchup on Thursday afternoon. The Barons are in search of their first win all-time against the Gators. They squared off on April 18th in Steubenville with the Gators taking the victory by a score of 8-1. The doubles matches were all very close but went the way of the Gators. Callahan Hecton won the lone singles match at the #5 spot, and Travis Mistry took his match into three sets. This is the fourth year in a row that the Barons have reached the PAC Semifinals, as they look to make the Championship with a win for the first time since 2021.
