Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country began the 2024 season with a first place finish at Westminster in the Fisher Invite. They would do so in dominant fashion with runners placing first, second, third, fourth, and fifth for the lowest possible team score of 15 points.

Claire Walters returned to the course for the first time since the 2022 NCAA National Championship, and she continued to succeed. Today, she won the 5k race in just under 20 minutes time. Just one second behind her would be Lauren Dosch in second place. Jessica Campbell placed in third with a time of 20:13.11. Then a pair of freshmen would round out the top five. Emily Maag placed fourth, and Francesca Rivers just behind her in fifth. 

A runner from Hiram placed sixth before Kelly Ward and Madison Gallagher placed seventh and eighth in this dominant season debut by the Barons.

Up Next
Franciscan will remain busy as they compete in the PAC Preview on Saturday, September 7th. It will take place at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in New Castle, Pennsylvania. This will be their first 6K race of the season, and a great look at the same course that the PAC Championship will be hosted at on November 2nd.

Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races
The Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races will take place for the 17th time in its history, once again kicking off a busy Saturday on Homecoming Weekend. The races will begin at 8 am on September 28th, 2024, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am. Click here for more info and signup
