Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country country made the trip west to Cedarville to compete in the All-Ohio Challenge. 26 teams were present from all NCAA Divisions and NAIA with 314 female runners to take on this course. 

The Barons had a pair of runners place in the top 20. Claire Walters placed 19th, and Lauren Dosch placed 20th, as they both continue to steadily improve as the season goes along. Jessica Campbell placed 40th with her best time in a 6K of the young season. Newcomer Emily Maag posted a collegiate-best time of 24:55.6 to place 75th. Rounding out the top five runners for the Barons would be Teresa Meli in 100th. Several other Franciscan runners posted personal-best times, as 26 runners from Franciscan crossed the finish line in this large field.

That would place the Barons 6th overall while beating several Division I and II teams today. Of the Division III teams, they placed fourth behind three regionally ranked teams in Ohio Wesleyan, Ohio Northern, and Case Western.

Up Next
Franciscan will return to competition in two weeks. The team will split up between two events. On Friday October 4th, the Barons will compete in the NCAA Pre-National meet in Indiana. That will be a preview of the same course that will be used for the NCAA National Championship. Those that do not make the trip to Indiana, will compete at Muskingum the following day, October 5th. 

Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races
The Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races will take place for the 17th time in its history, once again kicking off a busy Saturday on Homecoming Weekend. The races will begin at 8 am on September 28th, 2024, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am. Click here for more info and signup
