The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced their Women's Cross Country weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored. Emily Maag (Fr. Cleona, Pa. / Annville Cleona Secondary) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week

Maag placed 75th out of 314 overall runners from all NCAA Divisions at the All-Ohio Challenge and the fourth fastest Division III first-year runner. She posted a time of 24:55.6 in the 6K race, which beat her previous best time by nearly 30 seconds.

This is the first time that Maag has earned a PAC Weekly honor. She is the second Baron to earn a PAC Weekly honor this season, as Claire Walters was named PAC Runner of the Week on September 3rd.

The Barons will be off this week, but return to action at two meets the following weekend. On Friday October 4th, the Barons will compete in the NCAA Pre-National meet in Indiana. That will be a preview of the same course that will be used for the NCAA National Championship. Those that do not make the trip to Indiana, will compete at Muskingum the following day, October 5th.
