How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Swimming & Diving made the trip to Chatham on Friday afternoon for their final regular season meet of the 2024-25 season. Chatham took an early lead over Franciscan and Juniata with the lone two divers in the one-meter diving. The Barons responded with a second-place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. Jessica Stiles, Katarina Antonov, Bridget Bartosik, and Kate Kinst combined to swim a time of 2:06.46.

Antonov earned the Barons first win of the night. She won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.02. The Barons hauled in several points in the 100 yard backstroke with Kate Kinst, Jessica Stiles, and Avery Schmitz placing second through fourth. Bridget Bartosik kept up the good swimming with a second-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:20.33.

Sophia Gellner then had her best individual finish of the night. She placed second in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 27.77 seconds. Then, three Barons placed in the 200 yard backstroke.
