Race Highlights
Franciscan made the trip to Oberlin on Saturday morning. Sunny weather and a flat course brewed perfect conditions for a great race.
Francesca Rivers took advantage, as she placed 31st among over 200 runners with a time of 23:47.7. She continues to show steady improvement this season, as that is another PR for the sophomore.
Teresa Meli was not far behind her in 44th, as she competed for the first time since September 19th.
Mary Worden continued her excellent freshman season, as she was the first PAC freshman to finish in 47th place.
Emily Maag was right behind her in 52nd place. Rounding out the top five for Franciscan was
Anne O'Boyle with a collegiate-best time of 24:58.9.Â
That gave the Barons 240 points to place eighth out of 25 teams at Oberlin. The Barons placed third among the PAC teams in attendance. Washington & Jefferson placed fourth. The Presidents had the top runner, as Claire Anderson beat the field by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 21:17.8. Geneva had two runners finish in the top four, as they placed 6th overall.Â
