The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Women's Cross Country weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one runner honored. Mary Worden (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis. / Fort Atkinson) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.

Worden was one of the fastest Division III freshmen at the Louisville Classic on Saturday. She placed 121st among over 400 runners with a time of 24:03.4. Through last week's action, she is seeded as the 10th fastest runner in the PAC with a little over three weeks till the PAC Championship. Francesca Rivers is seeded ninth. 

This is the fourth time that Worden has earned a PAC Weekly honor in her first collegiate season. 

The Barons return to action at Oberlin for the Inter-Regional Rumble. This will be another large meet to test the Barons among several of the best NCAA Division III schools from the Great Lakes region. That will take place on Saturday, October 18th.
