The Latest
- The Barons secured a decisive 4-1 upset victory over Virginia Wesleyan last Saturday
- They traveled to Virginia Beach and took out a team ranked 33rd in NPI rankings that just missed qualifying for the NCAA Tournament
- Andrew Goduti scored the opening goal, followed by George Phillips and Lucas Cross to take a 3-0 lead
- After a Virginia Wesleyan goal, Phillips scored again to put the game out of reach
- Lucas Cross also had two assists and Anthony Venditti had three, sharing one with Cross

Scouting the Scarlet Raiders
- Franciscan has never faced Rutgers-Newark
- The Scarlet Raiders are 10-8-2 this season, with a 3-5-1 record in the NJAC
- They did not make their conference tournament
- In the first round of the ECAC, they defeated Goucher College 2-0
- Erick Cortes scored one goal and assisted on the other to Jake Milne
- Cortes has led the Scarlet Raiders with 15 goals and 35 points this season

New Territory
- This is the Barons' first time making the ECAC semifinals
- In their only previous ECAC win, they entered as a #7 seed and had to play in the opening round, defeating Pitt-Greensburg
- They lost to eventual runner-up Penn State Behrend in the quarterfinals that year
- This season, their first game was in the quarterfinals, earning their second ECAC win
- The remainder of the tournament will be played in Newark
- If the Barons win on Saturday, they will play in the championship game on Sunday at noon.

Storied Careers
- By playing and starting in Saturday's game, Augustine Rubino will move into fifth in games started at Franciscan with 74
- Lucas Cross and Rubino will pass Liam Nagle '22 and Mikey Irvin '22 for third all-time in games played with 84
- Aidan Henninger will move into ninth all-time in games played

Cross Tracker
- As the Barons continue through the ECAC, Lucas Cross has the opportunity to move further up the record books
- With his game-winner against Bethany, Cross passed Nick Miller '22 for second all-time in game-winning goals. He now sits with 15 career game-winners, trailing Herrmann with 16
- With his 51 career goals, Cross has moved into seventh place all-time in PAC history
- He is second in the PAC in goals with 14 and second in total points with 33

Miller Time
- Junior goalie Aiden Miller also has the opportunity to move up the record books this season
- He has passed Brian Gaughan 21' for second all-time with 28 wins, trailing only Jax Mautone '23 for first with 32
- Miller sits second all-time in shutouts with 15. He trails Mautone with 16 for first place.
