The Barons got into the scoring column in the first inning. Anthony Franzonello made his return and had an immediate impact. In the third, the Titans plated a pair to take the lead at 3-1. The Barons were able to answer in the fifth as Peffer singled in Ferroni, and then Franzonello continued his strong day with an RBI single.

Jeremy Sagun pitched into the eighth. With a runner of third and two outs, the Barons went to Franzonello to pitch them out of the jam. He allowed a hit and an error behind him that led to a couple of runs to give the Titans a 5-3 lead and then some additional insurance runs. The Barons were not able to rally in the ninth, as the Titans took game one.
