How It Happened
The Barons made the trip to Mount Aloysius on Thursday for a non-conference doubleheader against the Mounties.

The Barons trailed 1-0 heading into the second inning. That is where John Fusco delivered with his second home run of the season to tie it up at 1-1. The Barons then took the lead thanks to some defensive miscues that allowed a pair of runs to score later that inning.

Mount Aloysius came back to score three runs in the third and then an insurance run in the sixth to lead 5-3, as the Barons came to the plate one last time in the seventh. Peffer scored in that inning, as the Barons threatened against their closer. The Barons had the bases loaded with two outs, but they found the final out to close the door.

At the Plate
- Peffer had two hits and scored one run.
- Fusco joins Nemmers, as the only Barons with multiple home runs this season.
- The Barons left eight runners on base

On the Mound
- Sagun went the distance with two strikeouts and no walks.

Up Next
The Barons will continue non-conference play this weekend at Penn St. Behrend on Saturday. Their doubleheader against the Lions will begin at 1:00 p.m. The Barons lost a pair of games to them last season in Steubenville, as they are trying to snap a nine-game skid against them that dates back to 2009.
