How It Happened
The Barons scored in each of the first two innings, as they held a 2-0 lead in the early going. The Lions answered with seven runs combined in the second and third innings to take a commanding lead that they did not relinquish. Peffer extended his hit streak with a 2 RBI double in the fourth to cut this deficit to just three runs. The Lions added insurance in the sixth, as they would take game one.

At the Plate
- Bodie had two hits, including a double.
- Ashcraft had a hit and stolen base.
- Peffer went 1-3 with the big double.
- Cooper hit a home run for the Lions

On the Mound  
- Cole took the loss in his first collegiate start while going 2+ innings.
- Gildehaus had another strong outing from the bullpen. He went four innings with just two earned runs coming in the sixth.

How It Happened
The Lions kept up their momentum from game one, as they plated five runs in the opening inning, while taking advantage of some Franciscan errors. Franciscan waited till the fourth to get on the board with an RBI single from Peffer. The Franciscan bullpen was not able to contain their offense, as they were able to add on in the fourth and fifth innings. Franzonello hit an RBI double in the seventh, but that was it for the offense in game two. 

At the Plate
- Killian had a pair of hits including a double.
- Peffer had two hits, to give him 14 in six games this week.

On the Mound  
- Heidemann suffered the loss with just two earned runs.
- Perez pitched 2.1 innings while throwing 60 pitches. 
- Franzonello went 1.2 innings with one earned run.
- Stoehr pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout. 

Up Next 
The Barons return to PAC play at Allegheny on Wednesday for a doubleheader that begins at noon. The Barons are 0-4 all-time against the newest PAC foe, as the Barons look to snap that skid with a win in Meadville. The Gators are sitting around .500 this season, including a sweep over Waynesburg.
