How It Happened 
    Franciscan went on the road last night to face the Chatham Cougars. The Cougars jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead before the Barons got their first goal. They added another just before the end of the 1st quarter to inch closer, but the Cougars attack was consistent. The Barons gave up 5 goals in the second while only scoring 1 for themselves. 
    In the second half, the Barons defense improved allowing only three goals each quarter, but still struggled to get the ball into the offensive end and score some goals.

-T. Lyle led the Barons with 7 shots on goal and a hat trick
-Kiera Wilson was the only other Baron to score a goal
-Mary Smith recorded 5 saves

Up Next
Franciscan will return home to take on NCAA Division II, West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday afternoon. The Barons are 0-1 all-time against the Bobcats, but they have not played each other since 2018. The Bobcats have already played a pair of PAC schools and lost to Thiel and Westminster earlier this season.
