Steubenville, Ohio – The Franciscan men's basketball team will take on Virginia Wesleyan for the first round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Tournament on Saturday on the campus of McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland

The Barons enter the tournament with a record of 15-11 after falling to Washington & Jefferson in the PAC Quarterfinal last week. Virginia Wesleyan drew the #1 seed, as they are the 39th-ranked team in the country according to the NCAA's final NPI ranking. They hold a 19-7 record after losing in the first round of their conference championship last week. 

This is Franciscan's second appearance in the ECAC Tournament. They are in search of their first ECAC Tournament win, as they lost to Grove City in 2019.

There are 8 teams participating in the ECAC Tournament.

The championship game will be played on campus at one of the two teams that advances from the first weekend.
