PAC Sports Network Selection Show
Butler was named PAC Newcomer of the Year in 2024, and he showed continued improvement this season en route to a First Team All-PAC season. Through the PAC Quarterfinal, Butler has amassed 500 points (19.2 ppg) over his second collegiate season. His points per game production was second-best among PAC players this season. He scored 20+ points in 14 games this season, including a pair of 30+ point performances, while starting in all 26 games this season. Butler made a program record 136 free throws this season while shooting 85.5% from the line. He was also second on the team in assists (56) and steals (48).
Butler is the first Baron to be named First Team All-Conference since Thomas Kleinshnitz in the 2010-11 season while the Barons were members of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Kleinshnitz is also the last Baron to score 500+ points in a season, as he holds the program record with 520 in 2010-11.
Zimmerman earned Honorable Mention honors for the second time in his storied career in Steubenville. This season, he held the following averages: 12.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.9 apg, and 3.0 steals per game. He was the only player in the PAC that ranked among the Top 15 in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, as he filled the box score every night for Head Coach
Joe Wallace. That was on full display in his triple double against Waynesburg with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. Zimmerman will go down as one of the best to ever play for the Barons and holds program records for the most steals, assists, and games played by a Baron.
The PAC also announced its All-Sportsmanship Team.
Nicholas Allienello (Gr. Johnston, R.I. / Providence Country Day)
was the Franciscan player named to this exclusive team.
