How It Happened
The Barons traveled up north to finish their tour of the PAC North Division. After dispatching the Allegheny Gators, they finish this year's campaign 5-1. Their decisive victory also keeps pace with the rest of the North Division who continues to win. After Saturday's games the top four teams all won, so the three way tie for second remains with those teams just a game behind first place.
Aiden Townsend LOVES playing in Meadville, Pa. So far in his career he has had two 20+ point performances. His second yesterday in Meadville against the Gators, and his other performance, you guessed it, last year same gym. With his senior season next year and no game in Meadville, we will have to see what it would take to paint our bleachers blue and trick him into where he is playing when the Gators come to Steubenville.
With the Barons taking care of business against the Gators that creates the much anticipated game Wednesday against the St. Vincent Bearcats. The Bearcats sit one game ahead of the Barons in first place. With the Barons defeating the Bearcats on the road earlier, a win means a head-to-head tiebreaker, and depending on what Chatham and W&J do Wednesday, and potentially moving into first place in the South
Inside the Numbers
- Townsend's 25 is a career-high
- Voloddymyr Trotsko had a season-high 15
-
