How It Happened
Game two of this series had to wait until Sunday. The Gators struck first with three runs in the first on the chilly afternoon. The Barons answered with three of their own to tie it in the second inning, including a two-run home run from
Nicholas Peffer. Allegheny was able to take the lead back with four runs in the home half to retake a lead that they would not relinquish.
John Fusco went yard as well in the fifth, a three-run shot. The Gators' offense could not be contained, as they went on to win by 10 runs in the eighth inning.
With the win Allegheny moved to 8-0 in PAC play to sit atop the PAC as the lone unbeaten team in conference play so far.
At the Plate
- Armstrong had a pair of hits.
- Fusco leads the Barons with three home runs this season.

On the Mound Â
- Romanyak took the loss while going 2.2 innings.

Harold Gildehaus was the most effective reliever, as he allowed one run over one and a third.

Up NextÂ
The Barons remain in PAC play on
Monday against Geneva. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at
2:00 p.m. The Barons are 6-5 all-time against the Golden Tornadoes, but Franciscan has dropped four of their last five meetings. With storms predicted to be in the area, stay tuned for any delay or postponement news if needed.
