TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Franciscan senior Theresa Lyle (McMurray, Pa./Seton LaSalle) and Chatham senior Dawson Morrow (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) were named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Scholar-Athletes of the Month for May.

Each month, the SAAC groups at PAC member institutions are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must be varsity team members in their respective sport and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within their campus communities.

Lyle capped off a stellar senior campaign for the Barons, ranking among the conference's top five in multiple statistical categories. She averaged 3.20 goals, 4.27 points, 3.60 ground balls, and 5.40 draw controls per game. The senior midfielder finished the season with 48 goals and 64 total points, while also collecting 54 ground balls and securing 81 draw controls. Lyle's performance earned her PAC First Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career.

The psychology major maintains a 3.93 GPA and has received numerous academic awards, including being named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll four times, a three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and earning Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association honor roll recognition twice.

Lyle has been a dedicated member of the women's lacrosse team, serving as a team captain and a leader both on and off the field. In addition to her athletic contributions, she has actively served the Franciscan University campus community in numerous capacities.

She was the second athlete from Franciscan to earn this honor during this academic year.  She joins Jazzlyn Melnyk of Women's Basketball as the two Barons to earn this honor this season. Lyle is the fifth Baron that has earned this honor since the joining the PAC in 2020-21.
