Today's senior spotlight is
Anabel Stickney, a four-year member of the Franciscan tennis team from Butler, Pennsylvania. She has been named an ITA Scholar Athlete in each of her previous three seasons, and she looks to continue her student-athlete career with a great 2025-26 season.
What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?
Stickney: I'm looking forward to spending time on the courts with my friends
What is your most memorable moment at Franciscan throughout your career?
Stickney: Studying abroad in Austria and getting to travel with all my friends while taking unique classes
What are your plans after graduating from Franciscan?
Stickney: Teach at a high school in Pittsburgh and get my Masters in Education
Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Stickney: My teachers, from middle school to high school, have had the biggest impact on my life
What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Franciscan?
Stickney: Get involved as soon as you can, whether it be sports, intramural, mission, or clubs. This is the best way to make friends and grow in community.
