Today's senior spotlight is
Claire Cardie, a four-year member of the Franciscan tennis team from Dublin, Pennsylvania. She has been named an All-PAC tennis player in singles and doubles in each of the previous three seasons, including First Team honors last year. The Computer Science major has also excelled in the classroom by earning PAC Honor Roll and ITA Scholar Athlete accolades in each season as well. Today, we take a look at one of the leaders for the Barons in 2025.
What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?
Cardie: The friendships, practice as a break from school, and the excitement of match days.
What is your most memorable moment at Franciscan throughout your career?
Cardie: Hitting with my teammates at the Gaming Tennis Center in Austria
What are your plans after graduating from Franciscan?
Cardie: Get a job in app development, software engineering, or some other computing field. I still hope to enjoy tennis though!
Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Cardie: My Mom
What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Franciscan?
Cardie: The world teaches that one must always be being productive or reaching an end goal, but leisure, time with friends, and time with God are just as important. Every day, let God lead you, and He will show you what good to pursue in each moment.
