Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country opened up the 2025 season at Westminster, the same place they began 2024, and they had a similar result by winning the Fisher Invite

A freshman was the first to finish for Franciscan, as Mary Worden placed second. Her time of 19:06.36 is the eight-fastest time in program history in a 5K race and second-fastest by a freshman in program history. Less than two seconds behind her was Francesca Rivers in third. Emily Maag placed fifth, and Teresa Meli placed seventh, as the Barons were the only team to have four runners in the top 10. Madison Gallagher rounded out the top five with a 12th place finish to give the Barons a team score of 29.

Saint Vincent placed second with 49 points, as the Barons were able to beat eight PAC schools that were in attendance for this 5K race.

Up Next
Franciscan will have two weeks between meets, as they will resume competition at Bethany on Saturday, September 13th. The Barons last ran in this event in 2023. Three other PAC schools are scheduled to attend, as well as other local institutions.

Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races
The Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races will take place for the 18th time in its history, once again kicking off a busy Saturday on Homecoming Weekend. The races will begin at 8 am on September 27th, 2025, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am. Click here for more info and signup
