The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Men's Cross Country weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored. Maxwell Bruns (Fr. Gilbert, Ariz. / Arete Preparatory) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.

At the All-Ohio Championship at Cedarville University, Bruns led the charge for the Barons, as he cut over a minute off his 8k time from the previous week to place 98th among 371 runners with a time of 26:43.7. He was the third-fastest Division III freshman in the field and 28th fastest Division III runner in the talented field.

This is the third time that Bruns has earned a PAC Weekly honor this season.

The Barons will not compete at a meet this week, but will compete at two meets the following weekend. They will split up on Saturday, October 4th, between the Live in Lou Classic in Louisville and the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational at Muskingum
