STEUBENVILLE, OHIO - After the conclusion of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, the PAC released the 2025 All-Conference Teams, and three Franciscan runners were honored.
Maxwell Bruns (Fr. Gilbert, Ariz. / Arete Preparatory) earned First Team All-PAC with his fifth-place finish at the Championship. He became the first Franciscan freshman to earn this honor in the six seasons that they have been members of the conference. He was named PAC Newcomer of the Week on three occasions, and he placed in the Top 10 in three of the six meets so far. Bruns looks to end the season strongly at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet on the 15th.
Seamus Sommers (Jr. Muskego, Wis. / Trinity Academy) earned his first All-PAC honor of his career, as he was named Second Team All-PAC. His time of 27:46.3 placed him in 12th at the Championship. The junior has excelled this season while posting career-best times in the 5K and 8K so far this season.
Luke Hurley (So. Sterling, Va. / Homeschool) placed 16th at the Championship to earn Honorable Mention All-PAC honors. This is also the first All-PAC accolade for the sophomore, who placed 32nd at the Championship as a freshman. His career-best time in the 8K came earlier this season in Louisville, and that is where the Barons will return on the 15th for the Regional meet.
The PAC also released the All-Sportsmanship Team, with one player from each institution being recognized.
Aidan Mohr (So. Newburgh, Ind. / Reitz Memorial) was the Baron to earn this distinguished honor.
