- The Cougars have struggled thus far in their non-conference schedule
- They come into this game with a 2-5-2 record, with their only wins coming against Marietta, who the Barons also defeated, and Oberlin
- They have been outscored by their opponents 14-9
- The Cougars have been dominated in the shot category, only attempting 67 shots to their opponents' 146, and 23 shots on goal to their opponents' 66
- Offensively, they are led by Bennett Haas and Izeyah Romo with two goals each
- The Barons lead the all-time series against the Cougars 3-1-1, with last season's matchup ending in a 0-0 tie

Getting the Offense Going
