Barons Find Commanding Victory Over Bison

Franciscan 11, Bethany 1

Starting XI
Anthony Venditti, Aidan Mahony, Andrew Goduti, George Phillips, Noah Haggerty, Emilio Calderon, Seth Lange, Jonah Kline, Colm Corcoran, Dylan Cabrera, & Goalkeeper - Aiden Miller

How It Happened
Barons deliver a commanding performance and win in an 11-1 shootout against the Bethany Bison. I don't mean shootout like after a tie in the postseason. I mean a lot of shots and goal scoring, but I also sort of mean a shootout. There were FIVE penalty kick goals in this game. The Barons had four and the Bison one. So, in a way it was both versions of a shootout. Normally, teams have a short list of players to take PKs. The Barons spread it around with Venditti taking the first one followed by Luke Aaron, Halberg, and Michael Mahony.
Venditti and Michael Mahony had a career night netting two goals each while Venditti added an assist to the tally.
The Baron now sit tied for third place in the PAC with W&J and Allegheny. Allegheny holds a tiebreaker over the Barons, but they have yet to play W&J. That matchup is Friday and may determine who holds third place solo.
