How It Happened
The Barons traveled to Beaver Falls, Pa to face the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes. The Barons were blanked and left with an 0-2 loss falling to third in the PAC.
The first half was a battle of the midfield. Both teams were limited in shots and restarts. The Golden Tornadoes were the first to break ice scoring in the 38'. The second half is when the game broke open. The terrific backline of DeWolf and Corley combined with midfielder Lopez back in the lineup possessed the ball well all second half. The elite ball control led to 12 Franciscan shots and forcing 10 fouls from the Tornadoes. Unfortunately, all the chances the Barons created didn't lead to goals, and the Tornadoes turned their lonely shot on goal in the second half into a goal creating a 2-0 lead.
