Women's Soccer Clinches Playoffs at Waynesburg

Franciscan 1, Waynesburg 0

Starting XI
MaryGrace Geurkink, Michelle Lopez, Caroline Cross, Rhoswen Elmore, Elise Winogradoff, Theresa English, Juliana Massick, Isabella Corley, Catherine DeWolf, Ellie Bourdelais, & Goalkeeper - Callie Giguere

How It Happened
The Barons traveled to Waynesburg, Pa to face the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets. The Barons needed the win to stay in the running for a #2 seed and quarterfinal bye. Elise Winogradoff scored her second PK goal of the season and her career to push the Barons over the Yellow Jackets 1-0.
With the win yesterday, the Barons have clinched the postseason. They are in a three-way tie for second place with Allegheny and St. Vincent. The Barons game Wednesday vs St. Francis won't count toward PAC standings, so they will rely on both Allegheny and St. Vincent to lose to grab the two seed. With each win from those teams the Barons will fall in the standings. The worst they can finish after Wednesday will be 4th leading to a home quarterfinal match.
