Franciscan 1, Mount Union 6

Box Score

Doubles
All of the doubles matches were very close, especially #3. David Bourdelais and Kolbe Olszewski went back-and-forth with their foes until the score was tied at 6-6. They fell 7-5 in a tiebreaker to give the Purple Raiders a sweep of doubles and a 1-0 advantage.

Singles
The home team continued their dominance in singles, but it was great to see Aaron Heinlein and Christopher Yvars get their first action of the season in the books. David Bourdelais continued his strong play. He picked up the lone point for the Barons in a straight-sets win at #4.
Franciscan 0, Wooster 7

Box Score

Doubles
After a late Friday night match at Mount Union, the Barons traveled West to Wooster on Saturday for a battle against the Fighting Scots. Bourdelais and Olszewski remained a duo at the #3 spot and battled well to a 6-2 loss. Aaron Heinlein and Christopher Yvars fell by that same score. Matthew Suess made his 2026 debut at #2, but unfortunately, he and Raymond Barret fell in straight sets.

Singles
The Fighting Scots swept the singles. Yvars and Olskewski had the closest matches at #2 and #6. It was a great pair of early tests against two very talented non-conference foes, as the Barons look to steadily improve in 2026.

Next Up
The Barons return to action on February 20th when they host Penn St. Behrend in Wheeling. The Barons are 13-3 all-time against the Lions, but they have not played each other since the 2018-19 season, when both teams were members of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).
