The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Men's Basketball Weekly Awards on Monday, and Franciscan freshman Zachary Pollaro (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) earned Newcomer of the Week honors.

Pollaro helped the Barons to a pair of key PAC wins by averaging 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 57 percent (8-of-14) from the field and 55 percent from the arc (6-of-11). He knocked down a trio of three-pointers and finished with 13 points in a critical 77-56 victory over Chatham on Wednesday. Pollaro followed with nine points and seven rebounds in an 81-66 road win at Allegheny.

This is the first PAC Weekly honor of his career. He is the first Baron to earn this honor this season. Sawyer Butler has been named Player of the Week twice this season. The Barons return to action against Saint Vincent at home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
