How It Happened
An early morning start led to a slow offensive start for both teams in this one. Earlham started off the offense with a run in the top of the fourth to take the lead. Linehan knockedin Schiwall in the home half of the inning, and the Barons tied this one up at 1-1. Earlham added a pair of runs in the fifth and one in the seventh to take a 4-1 lead. Cook doubled in Armstrong in the seventh to pull within two runs, but that would be it for the Franciscan run production.

- Lindia had a single and a double
- Armstrong and Kempf stole bags.

How It Happened
Gettysburg won 30 games a season ago and was ranked as high as #13 in the National Top 25 Poll. Entering this matchup, they held an 11-1 record in 2026. The Barons were not intimidated, as they struck first in the first inning. Josiah Bodie manufactured a run with a walk, a stolen base, and scored on a wild pitch to give Franciscan a 1-0 edge. Armstrong knocked in a run in the second as well, but unfortunately, the Bullets produced 13 runs in the first two innings to take control. Bodie drove in the third run, and Gettysburg took the win in seven innings.

At the Plate

- Connor Lolli had a pinch-hit double.
- Bodie had a hit and drew a walk.

On the Mound
- Romanyak started and took the loss.
- Five relievers closed out the final five innings.
