How It Happened
The Barons were able to jump out to a 5-1 lead in game one through two innings of play. Lasell added three runs in the third and seven runs in the fifth to overtake the Barons and take control with the score at 11-5. The Barons would not quit. They added three runs in the sixth, and then had a major threat in the seventh. They were able to plate one run to pull within two runs before the final out was recorded. 

At the Plate
- A trio of Barons had two RBIs.
- Franciscan drew 11 walks.
- Bodie and Peffer had the lone extra-base hits.

On the Mound  
- Sagun went 4.1 innings in his first start of the season.
- Dax Clifton suffered the loss in his first appearance of 2026.
- Fletcher Bentley and Xavier Franzonello made their collegiate debuts.

How It Happened
Game 2 did not go as planned for the Barons. Ty Lohsen pitched a gem for Lasell and neutralized the offensive threat. Lasell scored early and often to take an early lead that the Barons could not overcome.

At the Plate
- The Barons were held hitless.
- The Barons drew two walks and were hit by pitch once

On the Mound  
- Jacob Cole took the loss, but fielding errors did not help matters in the first.
- Gavyn Romanyak provided some much-needed length.
- Evan Speicher and Zavier Zografos made their collegiate debuts.

Up Next 
The Barons return action at 1:00 p.m. on Monday to take on Washington (Md.). The Barons beat them last season in Florida by a score of 9-8. Holden Armstrong drove in Nicholas Peffer in the eighth inning for the game-winning run. Wade Stoehr pitched the final 2.1 innings to earn the win.
