How It Happened
Early offense gave the Barons the lead in this one. Zachary Cook had the big swing in the first with a two-RBI double. Bodie doubled in Armstrong in the second, and the Barons had a 4-0 advantage. Gildehaus ran into some trouble in the third and fourth, as Washington answered with 10 runs over two innings to take a commanding lead. The Barons rallied back in the fifth and sixth with five runs of their own to pull within three runs. Washington added some insurance in the final innings to fend off the Barons and take the win in the nine-inning game.

At the Plate
- Cook has three hits and three RBIs to lead the way.
- Bodie and three hits and Kempf had a pair.
- Armstrong scored three runs

On the Mound  
- Gildehaus suffered the loss in his first start of 2026.
- Peter Schwindt, Vincent Patts, and Holden Armstrong closed it out .
- Patts had a pair of strikeouts over two solid innings of relief.

Up Next 
The Barons return to action in Florida on Thursday with a morning matchup against Earlham. The Barons are in search of their first win against them, but they have not played each other since the 2023 season.
