How It Happened
Franciscan baseball returned home on Thursday, looking to end the three-game losing skid and get the bats going.
In the second inning, Hunton and White hit RBI singles to give the Barons a 2-0 lead. In the fourth, Kent St. scored one, but the Barons maintained the lead.
Peffer and Armstrong knocked in runs in the home half of the inning, as offensive production was coming from all parts of the lineup .
In the sixth, a pair of Eagles scored to tie it up at 4-4, and it felt that the Barons had lost their momentum. That was not the case, as the Barons plated a pair to take a lead into the final inning.
Josiah Bodie shut the door, and the Barons were victorious.
