How It Happened 
The Franciscan Men's Soccer team established an early two-goal lead before ultimately falling 5–2 to Mount Union on Tuesday evening at Kehres Stadium.
Franciscan opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Aidan Mahony scored off an assist from Noah Haggerty. The Barons extended their lead to 2–0 in the 30th minute when Haggerty scored an unassisted goal. Mount Union responded before halftime, scoring in the 44th minute to make it 2–1 at the break.
The Purple Raiders offense generated a response in the second half, scoring four goals to secure the win. Mount Union leveled the match in the 58th minute and took the lead 28 seconds later. An own goal and a final strike in the 84th minute completed the scoring for the hosts.
The match allowed Franciscan to utilize its roster depth, with 19 players seeing game action. Goalkeepers Aiden Miller and Zachary Burgess split time in the net, each recording two saves against the Mount Union attack.
Franciscan returns to action as they prepare for upcoming conference play.
