How It Happened
The Barons hosted the St. Vincent Bearcats at home. They held on against a constant attack for almost an entire half, but walked away with yet another shutout and three more PAC points.
St. Vincent had incredible control of the ball and kept the Barons on their back foot for most of the game. Mid-first half, the Barons found some relief and were down on the attacking end for a few minutes. They earned a couple restarts and capitalized off a DeWolf free kick. She found English in the middle of a group in front of the net. English rose above the crowd and headed it in. The Barons gripped that lead with everything they had. The Bearcats pressure ramped up more and more as full-time drew near. It was some of the most exciting minutes yet this season.
Close to the halfway mark of conference play, the Barons are sitting undefeated in first place. Their win tonight is the seventh shutout in a row setting a new program record.
