Prior to FUS: Team captain for the Harrison Central soccer team for 2 years, EDSCCA 2nd team (2 years), all-state Ohio athlete of the week .. Attended West Virginia Northern Community College.

Personal: Daughter of John & Peggy Downs ... majoring in Nursing while minoring in Spanish ...  chose Franciscan because of their great nursing program and faith based culture ... upon graduation she hopes to work in an NICU ... her patron saint is St. Gemma Galgani
