Franciscan University Barons Athletics

2022: Hickey started in all 39 games at third base for the Barons this season. At the plate he hit .242 with 26 runs, 29 hits, and 21 RBI's including 6 doubles, a triple, and 2 HR's. In the field he recorded 34 putouts and 61 assists. 

Personal: Son of Bob & Jen Hickey, both of which graduated from Franciscan. He is the third sibling in his family to attend Franciscan. In high school, Aidan was the basketball and baseball team captain, voted baseball team MVP, 3-time first team all-conference, 2019 conference position player of the year, 2-time first team all-district, and second team all-state. Aidan attended Ava Maria after high school, but transferred to Franciscan University for his junior year. He chose Franciscan, because of the Catholic culture. He is seeking an undergraduate degree in business management, and after graduation wants to get into real estate. His patron saint is St. John the Baptist.
