Bradford, PA- The Lady Barons swim team opened up the year with a 1st place finish in the Panther Relays. Franciscan, Pitt Bradford and Penn St. Altoona competed in the relay only event with the Lady Barons coming out victorious.

How it Happened
- The team of Colleen Farabaugh, Maris Bey and Andrea Beganskas started the day off with a time of 3:56.96 in the 3x100 Fly Relay.
- Penn State Altoona won the 200 yard medley relay, with Franciscan coming in second eighteen seconds behind with the team of Kelly Angeline McCown, Colleen Farabaugh, Abigail Schaefer and Katie Rose Beatovich.
- The Barons finished second in the 3x100 Backstroke relay. Farabaugh, Schaefer and Rebecca Poston recorded a time of 4:48.59, just five seconds off 1st place.
- Farabaugh, Poston, Bey and Cunningham swam to a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay, finishing seven seconds behind Penn State Altoona.
- The Lady Barons had the only team to compete in the 800 yard freestyle relay. Bey, Cunningham, Schaefer and Farabraugh posted a time of 9:31.31.
- In the 3x100 Breast Stroke Relay, Franciscan took home the gold with the team of Cunningham, Beatovich and McCown edging out Pitt.-Bradford.
- Franciscan edged out Bradford again in the 3x100 IM Relay with Bey, Cunningham and Beganskas beating the Panthers by posting a time of 4:08.05.
- In the last event of the day, 400 yard freestyle 3x100 IM Relay, the team of Beganskas, Beatovich,Poston and McCown finished in second behind Penn State Altoona.

Sarah Hull got her coaching career started off right with the victory today. "The girls did an awesome job today; it was a great way to start the season," commented Coach Hull. "They came together and worked as a team to bring home a good first win of the season." It was a good test of our stamina today, such as
